Slow cooker ham & bean soup
Webb9 aug. 2024 · Made with a leftover ham bone, dried white beans, chopped carrots, celery, onions, and garlic, chicken stock, and fresh thyme, the recipe comes together in 15 minutes, then simmers all day in a slow cooker. It's about as hands-off as homemade dinner can be, and you probably have most of the ingredients already in your kitchen. WebbRinse the beans in a colander and pick out any damaged beans and discard. In a 5-6 quart slow cooker, add the beans, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, thyme, bay leaf, ham and chicken broth. Stir in the tomatoes, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook on HIGH for 5 hours or LOW for 8 hours or until beans are tender.
