You can use nslookup to make sure it's the correct machine name that you're trying to ssh into. Webb21 jan. 2024 · If I ping the other pc’s it gets a reply no problem. I have also enabled NetBIOS over TCP/IP and still nothing. Any suggestions. Client 3. Only 3 pc’s connected to each other all using XP pro. Webb31 jan. 2010 · Right click start menu and go to explore, scroll down to Network and expand that. Go through Microsoft and Entire Network, etc. You'll see your work group and open that up. See if you can see the PC name in there. Turned off the firewall on the laptop and still can't see it on any of the other machines on the network.

What's also weird is that everytime I add a VMkernel port to an IP address, and I ping that IP from the appliance CLI, I can ping it, even though I know for certain that I don't have a machine located at that IP.
