It was the first of two back-to-back Foghat albums produced by Tom Dawes, a man best known for singing and playing bass on The Cyrkle’s massive No. 2 hit single in 1966, the Paul Simon-penned “Red Rubber Ball.” WebFoghat recorded two albums in 1974, Energized and Rock and Roll Outlaws, but a lack of steady commercial success had left the band stranded on the second tier.
